AM I – Shaun Parker & Company at Sydney Festival
Shaun Parker & Company will present the World Premiere of AM I, presented by Sydney Festival and the Sydney Opera House. Shaun Parker & Composer Nick Wales have collaborated with fourteen extraordinary dancers, musicians and singers who will take to the Drama Theatre stage at the Opera House from 9-12 January 2014.
This stunning collision of dance and live music investigates the quintessential meaning of ‘I’. Am I my tribe? Am I my genetic blueprint? Am I a random cosmological consequence? Shaun Parker’s gripping choreography is beautifully set against composer Nick Wales’ rich tapestry of reinvented world music.
