Creation and implementation of Mont St Quentin Oval community event in August 2024.

On 17 August 2024, we celebrated the restoration of Mont St Quentin Oval with a community picnic.

This heritage-listed oval served as a parade ground for troops going to war and is part of the Ingleburn Military Heritage Precinct.

Over 500 locals joined us at the official opening enjoying everything the site offers, including the AFL field, BBQ facilities, the all-abilities playground and the new amenities building where the screening symbolises the service medal ribbons awarded to soldiers.

Creation and implementation of Lake Thomson community event in September 2024.

Celebration of the completion of Lake Thomson with family fun activities and incorporating the beautiful natural surroundings of Lake Thomson – new neighbours met and connected with the local community.  Hugely popular was the 300 free ice creams and 50 free cups of chai for the first visitors!

The afternoon featured FREE family-friendly activities:

    • Indigenous cultural talk and walk
    • interactive wildlife display
    • arts and crafts
    • bird parade and mask-making
    • live entertainment

Plus, a sausage sizzle and food trucks

Over 1000 local community members attended this very successful event. Spread over two main sections of the park there was an enormous amount of people, young and old, enjoying the free programs, creative workshops and of course the free ice cream!
